Henry Clay Sr. (April 12, 1777 – June 29, 1852) was an American attorney and statesman who represented Kentucky in both the Senate and House. The grandson of clockmaker Eli Terry, Andrew Terry was born in Terryville, Connecticut, in 1824. He founded the Malleable Iron Works in 1847 before removing to Kansas with his family in 1871. By 1875 he returned to Connecticut and worked with the Bristol Iron Company. In 1844 he married Sarah Hawkins Orr (1819-1893) of Washington, Pennsylvania.
